Students’ Perception on Individual Learning versus Cooperative Learning Using Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Method in English Classroom

In this era, teachers need to choose the proper method in teaching and vice versa; students’ participation classroom should be one of biggest concern for teachers. With right method, learning activities can more effective students will also improve their participation. This study intends use Numbered Heads Together (NHT) as cooperative classroom. The methodology that being used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) research quantitative. researchers observe implement by making two exercises group, then give a self-assessment questionnaire about opinion individual group work activities. results showed NHT successfully improved activeness with each recorded have significant improvement participation, while there are pros cons from preferences There advantages disadvantages itself. disadvantage no doubt student uncomfortable don’t like group. Further suggested take action method.
